Homecoming + Halloween...
Two annual moments many moms look forward to every year. Whether you attended a HBCU, junior college, or on your way to your first collegiate experience, there is no place like home-coming season!
This year is anticipated to be especially memorable, since most college campuses haven’t hosted homecoming in the last 2 years due to the pandemic.
Reuniting with old friends, visiting “the yard” and watching the bands battle at halftime are
always pass time favorites.
Traditionally, college homecoming is an annual weeklong reunion experience. Ranging from guest speaking to enrolled students about potential careers, or giving back to the university by contributing and participating in some form of community service.
The weekend, however, has always been the peak of homecoming week. It is the time when alumni make a concerted effort to attempt to relive and celebrate their good ole college days – some successful attempts, and some not so much...lol
But all in all, homecoming is always a time to sit back and reminisce about all the fun throw-back memories, as well as creating new ones during the weekend with lifelong friends.
October is also a popular mommy month, as we mark our calendars to celebrate HALLOWEEN with our families!
Kids and adults alike take advantage of an opportunity to transform into their favorite someone or something for the night.
Costumes, masks and candy oh my!
Although Halloween was exciting as a kid, I can truly say I didn’t fully enjoy all of the rewards until I became a mom – those first Mommy Look moments, first costume and first “trick or treat” outings are priceless.
I guess the takeaway from all of this fall nostalgia is…youthful experiences and memories keep us all young at heart.
Be on the lookout for new fall Mommy Look cozy pieces and holiday ideas!
