It is hard to believe it is February already!
So many activities to look forward to in February, Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, school winter break and the possibility of snow.
By definition, the history of the month February was derived from the Latin term februum, which means purification.
Personally, the start of February for me, usually signifies a clear break from the holidays, a moment to pause and breathe for a second. I also try to attempt to get a head start on planning what my family’s summer will look like – camp, vacation, family reunions, etc.
February is also my birthday month, which also means for me, a time to reflect on a great year, and intentionally work on personal development – mental, social, spiritual, emotional, and physical growth.
As moms, carving out time to reset periodically is super important. Taking a step back to refresh and reorganize, make us better humans.
February also marks the mid-school year, countdown to spring break and eventually wrapping up for the year (which means a break from homework).
Days of sunlight becoming longer, which is always a nice plus and adds a little more pep in your step, as we forge thru the remainder of winter.
Most of all February is a month for L O V E, Valentine cards and chocolates.
Ultimately February is about sharing love with everyone who touches your life - from your little and big ones, parents/grandparents, extended family and friends.
